An Seanachaí welcomes your arrival and invites you to partake in the delicious and wholesome food that it has on offer. Slip off the N25 and rest your weary bones from your journey and sample the food that An Seanachaí has to offer. Traditional Irish Stew is our speciality, and our Seafood Chowder is the best in Ireland, well in West Waterford for definite. Once you walk in the door you immediately traverse back in time. Old world dishes like bacon & colcannon, hock of ham, with emphasis on the spud as well as your modern Irish dishes are always on offer.

We have an extensive A la Carte menu which can be eaten in either the long bar or the restaurant. Carvery lunch is served up from 12.30 to 2.30 daily and 12.30 to 4 pm on Sundays. Homemade Soup and sandwiches for the not so hungry, or for your morning coffee/tea our homemade currant scones and our own homemade brown bread should not be missed. To finish off your meal or if you are peckish in between meals we have an extensive selection of homemade desserts, apple tart and custard being the main stay and comfort desserts like rice pudding appearing every now & then. Al a Carte menu runs from 2.30 pm daily to close. Weekend specials titillate the palate and for special occasion groups a menu can be designed to your requirements. We pride ourselves in producing homemade wholesome foods using local produce where possible to produce our food. We have a wide choice of vegetarian dishes for those who prefer this type of food. Our menu changes on a periodical basis to keep the food interesting and exciting. For that special occasion party we provide finger food or full sit down meal. Barbecues are a speciality in our covered courtyard in the summer season. Our outdoor bar allows you to relax and enjoy a quite pint while soaking up the south east sunshine.
